About Thirsk and Sowerby Institute

Thirsk and Sowerby Institute is a social club with a friendly, licensed bar; regular entertainment; popular bingo nights; two full size snooker tables; relaxed or competitive dominoes; quoits; enthusiastic pool; remarkable darts and a great beer garden for those sunny days.

The comfortable concert room is available for members’ family parties; charity events and meetings of community groups up to 150 people.

New members welcome – just ask at the bar.The Institute is a Friendly Society owned by it’s members.

Always open for Thirsk Races weekend meetings and on Bank Holidays.

Bingo Thursdays, most Saturdays, and Sunday nights.

Artist on stage Saturday night, and select Fridays (tribute acts), from about 9pm.
